Why choose Ski Amadé - Salzburger Sportwelt?
7 resorts – Flachau, Wagrain-Kleinarl, Eben, Filzmoos, Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, St Johann-Alpendorf & Radstadt – make up the Salzburger Sportwelt, which lies in the centre of the Ski Amadé region.
We’ve carefully selected our accommodation options, to offer both unrivalled access to the slopes and proximity to excellent, group-friendly facilities.
The world cup venue of Zauchensee is close to Altenmarkt and offers snow sure doorstep skiing. While a limited selection of amenities are available in Zauchensee, Altenmarkt has a good range of shops and a thermal indoor swimming pool.
Connected to Altenmarkt, the attractive, historic walled town of Radstadt is situated about two kilometres from the lifts. You’ll also find Kleinarl in the heart of the ski area, which is another pretty village providing easy access to great skiing.
While plenty of money has been ploughed into the impressive lift systems – making it much easier to zip between the resorts – villages such as Altenmarkt, Radstadt and Kleinarl have reassuringly held onto their authentic Austrian charm and traditions.
On the piste
With one single lift pass, groups can explore an incredible 860 kilometres of piste across five expansive ski areas – Salzburger Sportwelt, Schladming, Gastein, Hochkönig and Grossarl.
After some expert tuition from one of the Salzburger Sportwelt’s highly rated ski schools, your skiers and snowboarders of all abilities will soon be making the most of the wide range of runs on offer.
Taking full advantage of the well-thought-out lift system and links between resorts, skiing time is maximized while queuing time is minimised. It’s easy to explore the Zauchensee and Flachau World Cup ski race venues.
If you feel inclined, you can ski from Kleinarl to Zauchensee. A short bus ride takes you to Wagrain, where you can board the cable car, which offers up incredible valley panoramas and links the Grafenberg to the rest of the ski area.
