SKI HELMETS
The Carinthia area of Austria has passed a law to say all under 16’s must wear helmets this winter. The new law applies to children skiing in the HTS resorts of Gerlitzen, Mallnitz, Hochkar, Heiligenblut, Bad Kleinkirchheim. It is not law for groups to wear helmets in Oberlungau and ObertauernIt. It looks like Upper Austria will follow suit (Dachstein West) and Salzburg region is due to come in unless it doesn’t get ratified by the EU or they decide to postpone to next season.
Ski helmets are obligatory in Italy for all children under 14 years of age (up to and including the last ski day) and are provided for hire at a fixed price of £15 per person which will automatically be added to your invoice. Ski helmets are not obligatory in other counties but are available on request also at a fixed charge of £15. All bookings for ski helmets are subject to availability and must be made as early as possible: preferably at the time of booking but no later than at the time of submission of Final Numbers in any event.
SKI HELMET AVAILABILITY IN ALL COUNTRIES
Ski Helmets may be booked in advance in most resorts. Bookings should be made as early as possible and, in any event, no later than the date when your Final Numbers Form is submitted; bookings cannot be accepted any later. Ski Helmets are always subject to availability and confirmation from the company. If you do not pre-book they are unlikely to be available on arrival in resort.
