This fantastic area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts thanks to the fresh mountain air and comprehensive range of activities and excursions. School groups will benefit from the varied study options such as trips to the Hintertux Glacier, Krimml Waterfalls, Achensee Lake and some fine examples of Alpine farming. Our extensive activities programme really allows your students to appreciate and learn from this fascinating environment.

 

Ziller Valley by coach*
Day 1: Leave your school in the morning and head to the most convenient UK port. Arrive on the Continent for overnight travel to Austria.
Day 2: Arrive at your accommodation for lunchtime meal and take the afternoon to relax and orientate.
Day 3: Travel to Innsbruck taking in the silver mine and planetarium along the way. In the evening enjoy your meal at the local pizzeria.
Day 4: Visit Lake Achensee and find out more about Alpine farming techniques at the farm house museum in Kramsach.
Day 5: Spend the day in the Ziller Valley taking in the Hintertux Glacier, Spannagel Caves and the high Alpine dams.
Day 6: Your morning will be spent at the local indoor and outdoor swimming pool while the afternoon is free time before departing the resort for the journey home.
Day 7: Return channel crossing and back to your UK destination.

 

Ziller Valley by air*
Day 1: Flight from London area to Innsbruck or Salzburg with coach transfer to your hotel for dinner and accommodation.
Day 2: Take a trip to Innsbruck taking in the silver mine and planetarium along the way. In the evening enjoy your meal at the local pizzeria.
Day 3: Visit Lake Achensee and find out more about Alpine farming techniques at the farm house museum in Kramsach.
Day 4: Spend the day in the Ziller Valley taking in the Hintertux Glacier, Spannagel caves and the high Alpine dams.
Day 5: After breakfast coach transfer to the airport for your return flight home (you could visit Salzburg en-route, depending on flight times).
