Recommended Activities

Archery
Your group can learn how to shoot a longbow against a back drop of snow capped mountains and green meadows. Straw bales are used as targets and full training and supervision is standard practice.

Abseiling
Our mountain guides will help students find out how to lower themselves safely down a 35metre descent. Abseiling is a really effective way of getting down from a great height quickly and safely.

Climbing
Our instructors will explain safety procedures, techniques and the rope and knot method of climbing before students are let loose on a designated rock wall that has been well used by previous climbers.

Rafting
The River Ziller has an undulating 6km stretch of water that makes for a perfect rafting adventure. Groups of 8 take the plunge in an inflatable raft under the guidance of our professional instructor who will lead the raft down to the village of Hippach.

Recommended Excursions

Hintertux Glacier & Spannagel Hohle
Europe‘s largest summer-ski area is also home to the longest underground cave system in the Alps. Guided tours of the caves lead students into the heart of the mountain where they can study the geology and natural features.

Zillertal Dairy
Learn about dairy farming in the Austrian Alps. Your students will find out how cheese and other Alpine products are made and how the environment affects local farming methods and livelihoods.

Schwaz Planetarium
This fantastic educational and fun location is close to Mayrhofen and a must for all science groups and lovers of the solar system. Special video installations and a huge cinema screen project the planets and galaxies making the whole experience totally unforgettable.

Schwaz Silver Mine
In the 1500’s Schwaz was Austria’s second largest city thanks to the silver industry. Today the educational tours take students inside the mine to see reconstructed mining equipment, slide shows, animation and a to take a ride on a railroad.

Achensee
Tirol‘s largest lake is best reached by steam train from Jenbach at the end of the Ziller Valley. The beautiful lakeside village of Pertisau is a great place to enjoy lunch or a hot chocolate.
