The Imperial War Museum Duxford consists of 5 Hangars that display real aircraft and submarines. Pupils have the chance to learn about history through seeing and touching the various types of machine used in wartime.

This museum houses numerous exhibits and displays detailing the Bank of England’s history from 1694 to present day. Ancient gold and methods of defence are just some of the items on show that allow students to find out more about how the bank has become such an important part of our society, especially in the current financial climate.

West Ferry Printers
This is a very hands-on excursion that will allow students to find out more about newspaper printing and publishing. Each member of your group will be given a role such as editor or features writer and asked to write their own newspaper. Breaking news and deadlines increase the realistic and fun element of the tour and students get to keep their own A3 page when they leave.
Globe Theatre
This world famous theatre is dedicated to performing and educating people about the works of Shakespeare. Groups can watch a play, take a back stage tour or get involved in one of the many educational workshops. Acting sessions and lectures can be tailored for your group’s age and ability level and will leave them engaged and inspired by the work of the Bard.
