School Trip Activities & Excursions - Lake Garda, Italy

Recommended Excursions

Gardaland
Stretching out along the eastern shore of Lake Garda you will find thrilling rides, water shoots, entertainment shows and all the fast food halls your students can handle. Relax and unwind on an inverted roller-coaster.

Verona
This romantic of all cities, thanks to Shakespeare, has benefited from its proximity to Lake Garda which makes it an important case study for geography students. Verona also has a rich artistic heritage that can be seen throughout the city in its architecture, galleries and people.

Bardolino
This attractive resort is a lot quieter than some of its lakeside neighbours but by no means lacking in educational and cultural significance. The ancient origins, picturesque architecture and vineyards make Bardolino a great place for a half day visit.

Fort Belvedere, Lavarone Plateau
The Austrian battery and trenches have been restored to form part of a fascinating war museum that remembers the forgotten front that protected Austria from the Italians in WWI.

Riva Del Garda
This is one of Lake Garda’s gems thanks to its location in between two mountains, Rochetta and Baldo. Museums, lakes, a medieval fortress and plenty of sports activities make Riva the perfect day trip or destination from where to enjoy Lake Garda.

Monte Baldo
Located in the provinces of Trento and Verona, Monte Baldo is known as the garden of Europe thanks to the abundance of vegetation that covers its hillsides and valleys. There are many interesting case studies of flora to be made as well as geographical and recreational walking expeditions.

Caneva World
Based around a huge water park on Lake Garda and practically next door to Gardaland, Caneva offers lovers of films and medieval themed shows the time of their life.

The Dolomites
A  full day‘s tour of the Valleys of the Rose Garden, the Marmolada Glacier and the Val Gardena, will help students of geography compare and contrast the Dolomites to other Alpine areas.
