The Chateau du Molay is perfect for school groups wishing to explore Normandy in northern France. The nearest village is Molay Littry and the surrounding market towns, beaches and sites of interest enable pupils to learn more about the people, culture and significant history of this picturesque region of France. As the chateau is 14kms from Bayeux and 15kms from the coast and D-Day landing beaches it makes an excellent base for school trips and educational visits.

The Chateau du Molay by coach*
Day 1: Depart the UK by coach via Eurotunnel and head for the continent. You’ll soon be checking in and enjoying your evening meal at the Chateau du Molay.

Day 2: Take a trip to the medieval town of Bayeux where you can see the famous tapestry before heading to the 3-D cinema at Arromanches and the breath taking American Cemetery.

Day 3: Visit a traditional French market to practise your language skills and buy some gifts for friends and family. Next stop is the impressive Peace Memorial in Caen followed by a trip to a hypermarket before returning to the chateau to try some frogs’ legs and snails.

Day 4: Activity day within the chateau grounds including: archery, circus skills, fun in the swimming pool and the possibility of a BBQ and disco in the evening.

Day 5: Wave goodbye to the chateau and return to the UK.
