Berlin has witnessed many changes and historical events which have helped to create the vibrant modern city that you will find today. Students of languages will be able to strengthen their skills amongst the many art galleries, museums and shopping districts that are rich with educational potential; while young historians can study the transformation from pre Nazi Germany to the unification of a divided nation.

 

Berlin by coach*

Day 1: Leave your school in the morning and head to the most convenient UK port. Your coach will drive through the night to reach your destination in Berlin.
Day 2: Arrive at your accommodation for lunch and spend the rest of the day orientating and exploring the local area.
Day 3: Today will be your first full day of guided excursions. Your group will visit some of the most important sites of East Berlin.
Day 4: Today will be spent in the west of the city making it possible to compare and study the architecture, monuments and history of Berlin.
Day 5: Enjoy your final day sightseeing in the beautiful Prussian town of Potsdam and taking in the vast lakes of Wannsee before departing after dinner for the overnight journey to the UK
Day 6: Return Channel crossing back to the UK.

Day 1: Flight from London area to Berlin with coach transfer to your hotel for dinner and accommodation.
Day 2: After a half day guided tour, visit Checkpoint Charlie and the Topography of Terror before stopping off at the Jewish Museum.
Day 3: Today we suggest you visit Sachsenhausen before going to the old Stasi Hohenschönhausen prison.
Day 4: The Story of Berlin is really worthwhile before an energising climb to the top of the Reichstag!
Day 5: After breakfast coach transfer to the airport for your return flight.
