Port Aventura
This theme park, in the coastal resort of Costa Daurada, provides a great day out for students wishing to relax and unwind. There are loads of rides, roller-coasters and over thirty thousand types of vegetation set within five sections of parkland.

The Nou Camp Football Stadium
FC Barcelona’s home offers a fascinating glimpse at not just the history of the great club but also the culture of the Catalan people. The President Núñez museum features photographic archives, sporting memorabilia and audiovisual shows.

La Ramblas
There are seven different sections that make up the street called La Ramblas, each one with its own name and style. This is the perfect opportunity for students to not only practise their language skills but to relax and integrate into the culture of Barcelona.

Park Guell
The works of Gaudi are on display throughout Barcelona in the architecture, the museums and the natural landscape. This park was commissioned by Eusebi Guell as a place for Spanish aristocracy to relax and contains many fine examples of Gaudi’s work.

The Sagrada Família
”The expiatory church of La Sagrada Família is made by the people and is mirrored in them. It is a work that is in the hands of God and the will of the people." This is what Gaudi said about the unfinished masterpiece that he dedicated 40 years of his life towards.

The Plaça del Portal de la Pau
This square is open to the sea and contains the Columbus lookout, the Drassanes, the Customs House and the main office of the Port of Barcelona. You will find some of the best examples of Catalonian civil Gothic architecture and also the Maritime Museum.

Picasso Museum
Students of art can compare and contrast the works of Picasso with that of Gaudi. This museum contains the most important collection of paintings, drawings and sketches from Picasso’s earlier work between 1895 and 1904.

Textile Museum
Located a few metres from the Picasso Museum, you will find some fantastic examples of clothing, carpeting and cross-stitch on display. Highlights include a Baroque door, which dates from the 18th century and a magnificent terrace.

Foundacio Joan Miro Museum
The Miró Foundation, built in 1975, is an extraordinary example of the creativity of Josep Lluís Sert. It houses a permanent collection of works by Joan Miró and also features an open-air display of sculptures which stand out against the panoramic backdrop of the city.

The Montjuic
Overlooking the harbour is the hill of Montjuïc that has been a symbol of pride since the 1800s. Fairgrounds, museums, sports facilities and beautiful gardens have been created to coincide with major events such as the World Fair of 1929 and the 1992 Olympic games.
