Christmas Markets Belgium & Germany

European cities at Christmas offer a spectacular vision of a bygone age and Brussels, Bruges and Cologne are no exception. Your students will experience the medieval buildings, Christmas trees and local people, bedecked in yuletide finery, as they soak up the smells, tastes and sounds associated with a traditional market. Activities such as ice-skating, sight seeing and shopping will captivate even the most ardent Scrooge!

Brussels Christmas Markets

Day One AM
An early morning departure from the UK allows you to cross the Channel and transfer to your accommodation by midday.

Day One PM
Take a guided tour of the city or enjoy the Christmas market at your leisure. The evening can be spent attending a Christmas music concert.

Day Two AM
Visit the ever popular Chocolatarie Duval in the morning where your group will find out about the traditional method of chocolate production.

Day Two PM
Spend the rest of the day exploring the city and shopping for those all important Christmas presents.

Day Two Evening
Depart Brussels at approx 18.00hrs and return to your school in the UK.

Bruges Christmas Markets
Bruges is an absolute picture at Christmas and the market supplies an abundance of traditional gifts, food, decorations and festive cheer. The medieval streets and ancient buildings add to the attraction and the ice-rink in the centre of Bruges makes for a great seasonal activity.

Day One AM
You will begin your journey early in the morning in order to arrive at your accommodation in Bruges by the afternoon.

Day One PM
Explore the historic city centre and the wonderful Christmas market stalls before taking to the ice rink in the evening.

Day Two AM
A guided tour of the city is available alternatively; your group can navigate the medieval streets at their leisure.

Day Two PM
Leave Bruges late afternoon in time to make the crossing back to the UK.

Cologne Christmas Markets

Day One AM
Leave the UK and fly to Cologne to transfer and check into your accommodation before midday.

Day One PM
Explore the city and enjoy the Christmas market at your leisure. The evening can be spent on a guided tour of the city or ice-skating.

Day Two AM
Take a river boat cruise on the Rhine in the morning where you can enjoy the city from a different perspective.

Day Two PM
Spend the rest of the day at your leisure sightseeing or shopping for those last minute gifts and Christmas souvenirs.

Day Two PM
Transfer to Cologne airport and return to your school in the UK.
