  • Boasting an excellent snow record and modern uplift
  • Cimone represents the highest point of the northern Italian Apennines
  • Olympic gold medallist, Alberto Tomba, learned to ski here
  • At the foot of the mountain are four charming and unspoiled villages: Sestola (where the SkiValue accommodation is located), Fanano, Montecreto and Riolunato
  • Hot lunch is arranged in mountain restaurants in the ski area
  • Ski storage can also be organised in the ski area
  • Doorstep skiing from two high quality hotels

Lying high in the Apennines between Modena, Bologna and Piacenza, Monte Cimone is a well kept secret. The slopes are north facing and the area has an excellent snow record, assisted by snow making. Investment in the lift system has created a well linked ski area ideal for beginners and intermediates. Our choice of accommodation, either on the slopes or in the attractive village of Sestola, ensures quick access to the slopes.

HTS local knowledge

Many visitors to the area take time out to visit the Galleria Ferrari. Enzo Ferrari founded his factory in Marnello, south of Modena, and today the Galleria boasts one of the largest collections of Ferraris in the world, including the racing car in which Michael Schuhmacher won the 2000 Formula One World Championship.
