Bormio - Alta Valtellina School Ski Tours

The international ski resort of Bormio lies at the edge of the Stelvio National Park and is surrounded by some of the highest mountains in Italy, including the Ortler rising to over 3900m. The ski area comprises four areas; Monte Cimino, on which the Hotel Girasole is located and at whose foot the resort nestles, Isolaccia, Santa Caterina and
Livigno. There are three lift passes available depending on the extent of skiing required. Snow sure, with extensiveartificial snow making, Bormio has proved a popular destination with school groups.All levels of ability are well catered for and the ski school has a great reputation. The infrastructure of the resort offers a good range of evening entertainments.

HTS local knowledge
Bormio is at the southern end of the Stelvio Pass, which is the second highest alpine pass and one of the most spectacular. The Stelvio National park straddles the border with Switzerland and incorporates the Ghiacciaio dei Forni, one of Europe’s largest glaciers. It is possible to ski on the glacier at the top of the pass from spring
to autumn.

We include as standard, the Bormio and 4 Valli pass that offers an extensive 100km of piste. It is also possible to upgrade to include Livigno on your ski pass giving an extra 104km of skiing.
