Located in the province of Tyrol, The Skiwelt is Austria’s largest interconnecting ski area. This fabulous resort offers great facilities for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities. Enormous investment in the lifts has now linked Brixen to the Westendorf ski area, whilst the whole lift system has been updated to include many gondolas and modern style fast chairlifts, some with heated seats, ensuring easy and speedy access to the top of the mountain.
Despite international fame, the villages of Söll, Scheffau, Westendorf and Hopfgarten retain much of their authentic charm.
ON THE SLOPES
The Skiwelt is the perfect area for those that wish to cover as many miles as possible and see a variety of resorts. Beginners are well catered for thanks to the excellent ski schools and good nursery slopes. The region has had a huge investment in snow making facilities over the last few years. This means it is snow sure and provides good snow cover on the many home runs down to the villages. This all contributes to make the Skiwelt a first class school skiing destination.
