With the Flying Mozart gondola a short 300m walk away plus a drag lift just outside, the Markushof hotel is in a great location close to the slopes in the Salzburger Sportwelt ski area which is part of the extensive Ski Amadé region. Along with its sister hotel, the Mitteregger (linked by underground passage), the Markushof has been specially designed for school ski groups and has an excellent range of facilities to ensure there is plenty to keep your group occupied after skiing. All rooms benefit from private facilities. Hot lunches available on the slopes, not at the hotel.
Local Knowledge
The Markushof is well run by Markus Riepler and his family. Our school ski groups always appreciate the good service and friendly welcome they extend. Nearby Wagrain is one of the most popular resorts in the Salzburger Sportwelt. It’s an attractive and bustling village with an excellent infrastructure and is well known for its ‘Flying Mozart’ gondola.
Après Ski
Away from the skiing you can enjoy many activities in Wagrain including swimming at the ‘Amadé World of Water’ panorama swimming pool, dining out, shops, coiffeur, ice-skating, curling, tennis hall, horse sleigh ride and a museum. While at the hotel you can enjoy the bar and lounge area, TV/DVD, disco room, recreation rooms, sports hall, table tennis, table football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, terrace and sauna (free once a week for adults).
