The Carinth is one of our most highly rated hotels and features the added bonus of a piste leading all the way to the hotel. Located in the Oberlungau ski area, it is a well run, spacious, comfortable and modern HTS Selection hotel which has been specially designed for youth groups. It has an excellent range of facilities including a climbing wall, fully equipped disco room and an internet corner. You’ll also find an ice skating rink with curling adjacent to the hotel. It’s just 200m to the ski bus, 2km to Mariapfarr and 4km to the Fanningberg lifts. Free vitamin drinks and snacks are available throughout the day plus the food is also highly rated by our school ski groups. All rooms benefit from private facilities while twin rooms also have a TV, mini safe and telephone. Hot lunches available.

Local Knowledge

Mariapfarr is an unspoiled Alpine village nestling between the Speiereck and Fanningberg peaks. It is 8km to Mauterndorf and 9km to Tamsweg, in the heart of the Lungau region.

Après Ski

While away from the slopes your school ski group can enjoy Mariapfarr with its ice skating and curling (adjacent to hotel), bowling alley, tennis hall, restaurants, pizzerias, shops, bars, cafés and discos. Nearby Tamsweg also has an indoor swimming pool. You’ll also find an extensive range of leisure facilities at the hotel including a fully equipped disco and entertainment room, TV/video, climbing wall, table tennis, billiard table, bar/stube (cosy lounge area), cafeteria, and sauna (extra charge).
