Montafon Valley

This interesting and attractive valley is located in the west of Austria, close to the Swiss border, and offers great skiing for all abilities in a snow-sure environment. Pretty, traditional villages strung along the valley floor offer a warm welcome and our accommodation is especially convenient to access the extensive and modern lift system. Montafon is a much sort-after destination and offers great early and late season skiing. With many iconic mountains including Zimba, Drei Türme, Madrisa (bordering Klosters – Davos in the next valley) and the highest peak Piz Buin (3312m), skiers appreciate the breathtaking scenery both on and off the slopes.

On The Slopes
The Montafon ski area prides itself on offering something for everyone. Beginners are well catered for with gentle, well groomed blues whilst, by contrast, advanced skiers may want to test their fitness on the 9,2km Diabolo black run from the top of the Rätikon lift to the valley station of the Golm lift in Vandans. Our groups receive a full valley pass covering the four ski areas (Silvretta Nova, Hochjoch, Gargellen and Golm). One highlight is to ski the Hochjoch ski tunnel which, at 476m, is the longest in the world.
