Matrei in Ost Tirol is a lively village, set amidst spectacular mountain scenery, which enjoys an excellent snow record by virtue of its position in the Tauern National Park. It is situated on the Felbertauern road 50km south of Mittersill, to the west of the Grosslockner, Austria’s highest mountain. The nearest glacier is the Mölltal Glacier which is 70km away. During your time away from the skiing your group can visit the resort’s restaurants, bars, discos, pizzerias, cafés, shops, ice skating and curling. If you travel to Lienz you’ll also find an indoor swimming pool and bowling alley.
