Matrei - Ost Tirol School Ski Tours

Since 2009 the ski areas of Matrei and Kals have been linked, opening up over 100km of high level skiing in the Hohe Tauern National Park. Our accommodation in Matrei offers convenient, doorstep skiing and easy access to nursery slopes at the top of the Goldried gondola. Views over the Grossglockner mountain range are spectacular and it is not hard to see why this has become such a popular destination for our groups.

Matrei is in the province of East Tirol which is isolated from the rest of Tirol through an accident of history. In 1967 the Felbertauern road was built to connect the two parts of the province and this has improved access greatly both summer and winter.
