Mallnitz and Mölltal Glacier School Ski Tours

The Ankogel ski area is close to the village of Mallnitz and is a good starting point to for beginners or for the first day back on skis. The lift pass also covers the Mölltal Glacier, rising to over 3000m and from where some of the best views over the Tauern Mountains and the southern province of Austria can be seen. Access here is by funicular and it is certainly worth the journey to ski at such high altitude.

HTS local knowledge
One of the highlights of a ski trip to this area is a day on the Mölltal Glacier. The funicular takes only 8minutes to reach the ski area and there are over 50km of ski pistes for all abilities. The highest point is over 3100m and it is possible to ski here well into the early summer. Many national ski teams train here in the autumn.
