Heiligenblut is located at the foot of the Grossglockner, the highest mountain in Austria. To ski in its shadow, surrounded by spectacular scenery (many peaks over 3000m), is a memorable experience for even the most seasoned skier. Due to the altitude, the resort is particularly suited to late season skiing but is able to augment natural snow with 50 snow cannons. Heiligenblut is one of our most picturesque and enchanting resorts with a mystical feel about it.
In Heiligenblut we can offer doorstep skiing which enables groups to get the most out of their ski trip and spend as much time as possible on the slopes. The nursery slope is by the hotel and the main access lifts are only a short walk away from the hotel
ON THE SLOPES
Groups soon progress from the village to the confidence building blue runs on the two mountains which make up the Heiligenblut ski area - connected by a mountain tunnel. However, the number and variety of red runs make this a paradise for intermediate skiers who will also appreciate the efficient and modern lift system and minimal queuing. The top station of the Hochfleiss is over 2900m which, along with extensive snow making, ensures a long winter season and excellent snow cover. Heiligenblut has a loyal following and is a great choice for groups of all abilities and for late season skiing.
