Grünau

This delightful ski area is a hidden gem and is little known outside Austria and its neighbouring countries. It enjoys a spectacular setting, surrounded by mountains and close to the Kasberg ski area. The skiing is concentrated on the north side of the Kasberg Mountain and offers mainly blue and red runs. Our groups are accommodated conveniently close to the valley gondola station and about five minutes drive from the charming village of Grünau. The town of Gmunden can also be easily reached, with a fabulous array of après-ski activities.

On The Slopes
The ski area suits beginners and intermediates and is well known for being a family friendly resort. The beginners’ area is at the middle station, which is also where the ski school is based and where the confidence building nursery slopes are accessed. More experienced skiers will appreciate the modern lift system which gives efficient and speedy access to the more extensive tree lined blue and red runs at the summit of the Kasberg. There are some cosy mountain restaurants which offer traditional refreshments and a great welcome.
