The popular Windegg is a traditional gasthof in a great location on the ski slopes 3km above Tulfes and is a comfortable base from which to explore the extensive Innsbruck ski area. It is comfortable and well-run plus the hotelier has his own shuttle bus to take beginners to the nursery slopes above the gasthof. There are magnificent views over the Inn Valley from the dining room and sun terrace. All rooms benefit from private facilities. Hot lunches are available at the hotel at a supplement.

Local Knowledge
The small, unspoilt resort of Tulfes lies on a plateau on the north side of the Inn Valley and commands spectacular views over Innsbruck and its mountain backdrop. It is situated 6km from Hall and the motorway, 15km east of Innsbruck and has direct access to the Glungezer ski area. The Axamer Lizum ski area is 30km away.

Après-Ski
When your school ski group takes a break from the slopes they can enjoy nearby Tulfes with its natural ice rink, bowling alley, shops, restaurant, café, bar, disco and pizzeria. There’s also an indoor swimming pool in Innsbruck or why not take your group night skiing in Rinn, which is only 2km away. At the gasthof you can use the large games room, TV/DVD, table tennis, bar and adults’ room.
