Almost a quarter of the skiing included on the Ski Amade lift pass can be found in the Gastein Valley. This ski carousel comprises Sportgastein, where it is possible to ski at over 2600m, the interlinked areas of Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein and finally the attractive and less crowded slopes of Dorfgastein, which link directly to Grossarl where the Schornhof is located.
HTS Local Knowledge
The Gastein valley is renowned for the healing properties of the thermal waters which contain small traces of Radon. This element assists with breathing difficulties, enriches the blood and helps strengthen the immune system. Both Bad Gastein and Bad Hofgastein have large thermal swimming pool complexes and the Thermal Temple in Bad Hofgastein is especially popular with our groups.
