Lofer School Ski Tours

The Loferer Alm has long been a popular ski area for families and for mixed ability groups. It is a snow pocket and the wide, uncrowded slopes are well groomed, great for gaining confidence. Access is easy by gondola and there are some splendid views to be enjoyed over both Austria and Germany from the Schönbichl. The smaller ski area in Unken is closer to the hotels; however most groups will concentrate their skiing on the Loferer Alm. The village of Lofer is attractive and unspoilt with a range of amenities available.

Only half an hour away from Unken is the world famous city of Salzburg, a UNESCO Heritage site and birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Salzburg is especially charming in winter, and many groups take advantage of the easy access to visit the historic, pedestrianised centre in the late afternoon or evening.
